Hello, and welcome to my blog. For those coming from the CaringBridge page, this will be where I will personally update from now on. My parents may occasionally update on there, but this is my new humble abode! For those who do not know me, my name is Joshua Molden. I am 19 years old. I will be attending NDSU this fall for software engineering. Most importatnly, I love Jesus. I love to be active and play sports. I love to inspire people in whatever way I can. I love to share bible verses/passages and I love to share Jesus with others. One last thing, is I love sharing my story. My story the past two years has been cancer (specifically leukemia). Thankfully I am glad to say that I am cancer free (and in future posts I will expand on my journey, but if you can’t wait to hear about it, you can check out my CaringBridge page!) Even though cancer is a big part of my story and my life, it does not define me or who I am. I am defined by Jesus Christ, and because of this, I am called to be radically different from this world.
Romans 12: 1-2 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Jesus has called me to be a living sacrifice, a humble servant, and to put love in action. We are called to glorify God in all we do (see 1 Corinthians 10:31). This means that I live my life in this way. Every thought and every action is an opportunity to bring glory to Jesus Christ. Now here is the deal, I am a sinner, and I will never be able to fully live out this calling. I am imperfect, but Jesus has saved me from my sins, and He is my Lord and Savior. I do my best to live out this calling, but I will always come up short. But the amazing thing is, even after my repeated sins and selfish actions, Jesus still loves me. And He loves you too.
Wow, first post and I am already getting super passionate! Get used to it, I do this a lot! So I will take a step back and let you know what this blog will be about! Obviously, it is going to be centered around Jesus. This means sharing bible verses or how Jesus has worked in my life personally… anything to do with Jesus. I am also going to tell my story! I will share past events that have shaped me into the man I am today. I will share stories about high school, sports, cancer treatment, and anything that has happened in my life. I will share recent things that have happened in my life, and things to come in the future. I will give updates on doctor appointments that I have to keep everyone up-to-date on how life after cancer is going. I will put prayer request for me and others on here. I will be vulnerable and truthful about struggles in my life. Basically, this blog is going to be centered around how Jesus has worked, and how He is working in my life. I am planning on posting weekly, and maybe even more often than that, but I am starting college at NDSU in the fall so we will see how often I will be able to post! I pray that this blog will be a blessing to those who read it.
Thank you for checking out blog post number 1! I pray for many more to come in the future! Have a great day/night.
